All the birds are back
Literally overnight, the Charles River Peninsula soundscape changed dramatically. Yellow warblers in many different spots, singing loudly.
Some photo evidence to boot.
Also caught snatches of northern parula and ovenbird (unrecorded).
Other recordings of newly arrived birds:
1. Baltimore Oriole. This guy has nested here for the last two years. Very distinctive song.
2. Orchard Oriole. This guy gets angry near the end, chases another oriole.
3. Warbling Vireo. This was the only one I heard. More to come soon.
4. Blue-headed vireo. A pair. My first for the CRP.
