Oh Blackburnian Warbler

Blackburnian Warbler, Plum Island, Newburyport, MA

Today was warbler day. I couldn't have picked a better today to go up to Hellcat. The sun was shining, the woods were stuffed with warblers, and there was parking available (just barely).

From a seeing things point of view, outstanding. (Probably a dozen different warblers seen, including new lifer, bay-breasted warbler). But the day would have been a bust photo-wise if I hadn't located this extremely cordial blackburnian warbler happily feeding in a small trail-side oak. I think you'll agree that this is the pinnacle of warbler fantastic-ness.
