After the rain
Solitary Sandpiper, Charles River Peninsula, Needham, MA
A very short window of sun (or at least no rain) this evening. I rushed back down to the CRP.
A great crested flycatcher was making its presence known (that's another first for me on the property). A tree full of bobolinks (migrants--they flew off together to parts unknown). Orioles singing; distant echo of wood thrush in the air.
Oh, and I wouldn't forget about you, solitary sandpiper (another CRP first for me).
