More Mill Street Ducks

Mallards, Charles River. View from Mill Street, Dover.

A terrific morning for ducks along the open water on the Charles. A huge contingent of mallards, resting on the ice, paddling on the water (pulled swiftly by the current), and diving.

The common mergansers are back (though camera shy, as always). Consolation, hoodies (almost as camera shy).

Nothing terribly exotic, though I was surprised to see this female wood duck hanging with the mallards.
