Broadmoor
Frozen waterfall, Hemlock Trail, Broadmoor, Natick
The trails at Broadmoor are thick with snow and not yet all icy. I took a long pleasant walk.
Chickadees, titmice, nuthatches, downies, brown creepers...the normal folk.
Except for this one, a winter wren (yes, that dark roundish spot), off the boardwalk near the nature center.
The birds were taking turns taking sips from the small areas of open water under the bridge.
Also, unpictured, in Needham. My first flock of snow buntings in the fields near my daughter's elementary school.
And here's an unusual one. A junco at a suet feeder. I guess this one is close enough to the ground.
