Rosemary Mud Flat

Egrets and herons, Rosemary Pond, Needham, MA

When the water is drained, Rosemary Pond becomes a mud flat. Today I just happened to be passing by on the way to library and spotted this spectacle.

Five great blue herons and two great egrets.

Greater yellowlegs too.

Plus a couple of drake wood ducks.

I don't know how much longer the mud flat scene will last. It's worth a drive by.
