Snow geese, Pea Island, Cape Hatteras, NC
I'd never seen a single snow goose (one of the reasons motivating this trip). And now suddenly I'm seeing hundreds. I'm instantly captivated.
Fascinating in large huddled groups (the game: find the goose facing the wrong way)
Lovely as individuals
And astonishingly beautiful in flight.
